Bandar Seri Begawan (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) arrived in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, on Saturday morning at 10.30 a.m. local time to start his official visit in the country.

During his two-day stay in the country, President Jokowi will meet with Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. Both leaders are also scheduled to sign a bilateral agreement at the Nurul Iman Palace.

On Sunday, President Jokowi is scheduled to visit the Brunei LNG factory and meet with Indonesian communities living in Brunei Darussalam. The Presidents visit to Brunei Darussalam is part of his working visit program to three ASEAN countries: Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam and the Philippines. The President already visited Malaysia on February 5 and 6.

After his visit to Brunei Darussalam, he will leave for Manila to meet his Philippines counterpart, Benigno Aquino III.

In Manila, the Indonesian President will ink another bilateral cooperation agreement with the Philippines and meet the Indonesian community living in Manila.

President Jokowi is accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Economy Sofyan Djalil, Manpower and Transmigration Minister Hanif Dhakiri, Trade Minister Rahmat Gobel, Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi, and the Agency for the Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (BNP2TKI) Chief Nusron Wahid, among others.(*)
