Banda Aceh, Aceh (ANTARA News) - Kim Jisub, a South Korean national working for MV Stellar Daisy, was evacuated from the cargo vessel that anchored in the waters of Benggala Bay, Aceh Besar District, on early Friday, stated a rescue worker.

"He has been brought to the Zainoel Abidin Hospital in Banda Aceh to receive intensive care from the medical doctors," Chief of Banda Aceh-based National Rescue Agency Ibdu Harris said here on Friday.

Harris noted that his men and the Quarantine Division of Ulee Lheu Ports officials worked together to carry out the evacuation on early Friday after they received a request to evacuate an ailing crew member.

The Republic of Marshall Islands-flagged ship, en route from China to Brazil, anchored in the Indonesian waters to disembark its ailing crew member, he remarked.

Harris stated that over the past few years, his men, on several occasions, have evacuated ill or deceased crew members from cargo ships.
