Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Under-23 soccer team, Garuda Muda, lost 0-4 to the visiting South Korean team on the last day of the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship qualifiers in Group H here on Tuesday, March 31.

Having lost the match, the Indonesian squad emerged as the runner up of the tournament, collecting six points from three matches.

With nine points, the South Korean team advances to the final round of the AFC U-23 2016 in Qatar.

The first goal for the South Korean squad was scored by Jung Seunghyun, while the second was scored by Lee Chandong in the 70th minute. The third was netted by Kim Seungjun in the 83rd minute, while Lee Changmin scored the fourth goal in the 87th minute.

The qualifiers kicked off on Friday, March 27, and went on till March 31 in Jakartas Bung Karno main stadium.

The Garuda Muda squad had initially launched a good attack from the wing and center field, which had made the Korean defense lineup work hard to scatter the players.

Garuda Mudas Muchlis had an opportunity to score in the 27th minute, but the opponent succeeded in blocking the ball.

In addition to the Indonesian team, the three other squads from Group H of the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship qualifiers are Brunei Darussalam, Timor-Leste, and South Korea.

On Friday, March 27, Indonesias Garuda Muda had crushed the team from Timor-Leste 5-0, following which it defeated Bruneis team 2-0 on Sunday, March 29, in a qualifying match of the tournament.
