Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is facing five pretrial motions filed by four corruption suspects and a corruption case witness at the South Jakarta District Court on Monday.

The pre-trial sessions were filed by Siti Tarwiyah, Ilham Arief Sirajudien, Suryadharma Ali, Suroso Atmomartoyo, and Sutan Bhatoegana, according to KPK spokesman Priharsa Nugraha, here, Monday.

"Two new pretrial motions will be held in the district court comprising the case of Ilham Arief Sirajuddin and Siti Tarwiyah," the anti-graft bodys team member, Rasamala Aritonang noted.

Sirajuddin is the former mayor of Makassar, South Sulawesi, who was named a suspect in a corruption case of the states water company (PDAM) of Makassar with regard to the rehabilitation cooperation for the installation, transfer, and maintenance of the sewer system for the period between 2006 and 2012.

At the same time, the district court will also hold Siti Tarwiyahs pretrial session as her status as the witness of corruption suspect named, Fuad Amin Imron, the former Bangkalan district chief, Madura.

Siti accepted the accusation made by the anti-graft bodys investigator who named her as Fuad Amins mistress.

Siti believes that the allegation was based on her possessions such as a car, house, and land in Bangkalan, which were given by Amin.

The third pretrial session was filed by former religious affairs minister Suryadharma Ali, who was charged in a corruption case related to the handling of Hajj pilgrimage funds for the period between 2012 and 2013.

The fourth session will be held to hear the case of Suroso Atmomartoyo, a former director at the state oil and gas firm PT Pertamina.

Suroso was named a corruption suspect in the procurement of tetra-ethyl lead (TEL) gasoline, which involves the states oil firm and a TEL supplier from Britain, Inospec, in 2004-2005.

The last session is the case of the former head of the House of Representatives Commission VII Sutan Bhatoegana, who was accused of accepting bribes in exchange for expediting the deliberation of the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministrys budget in 2012-2013.

Sutan is also expected to attend the accusation hearing at the Special Court for Corruption Crimes (Tipikor) at the same time.

"Sutan might attend his hearing session at the Tipikor," Sutans lawyer, Rahmat Harahap, remarked.

Rahmat added that Sutans legal team will only attend his pretrial.
