Jakarta (ANTAR News) - Construction of the 33.8 kilometer long Cibitung-Cilincing toll road project will cost around Rp6.5 trillion.

Under a shareholders agreement signed on Tuesday PT Akses Pelabuhan Indonesia will put up 45 percent of the fund to finance the project.

The cost does not include around Rp4 trillion for land clearing, R.J. Lino , president director of Pelindo II that owns PT Akses Pelabuhan Indonesia, said.

PT. MTD Capital Bhd has 50 percent stake in PT MTD CTP Expressway the joint venture that will build the project with PT Nusacipta Etika Pratama holding the remaining 5 percent.

Lino said construction of the project will start in early 2016, adding land clearing has been completed for 33 percent of the land needed for the project.

"I hope the Jakarta city administration will help in the process of land clearing," he said.

The toll road is vital for cargo transport to the Tanjung Priok port.
