Semarang, Central Java (ANTARA News) -- President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo arrived in Semarang, Central Java, from Singapore on Wednesday after concluding his two-day visit to the neighboring country.

The president and his entourage departed from Changi International Airport in Singapore at 9:18 a.m. local time and arrived at Semarangs Ahmad Yani Airport at 11:15 a.m. Western Indonesia Standard Time.

While in Semarang, Jokowi is scheduled to give directives to prospective military and police cadets at the Police Academy at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

During his visit to Singapore, he emphasized the importance of innovation and ideas to take advantage of the cooperation to improve bilateral relations.

Jokowi conveyed the same to his Singaporean counterpart Tony Tan Keng Yam during a bilateral meeting at the countrys Presidential Palace.

The two heads of state also agreed to expand cooperation in the field of education, including vocational education and capacity building.

Moreover, during Jokowis meeting with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, they agreed to establish cooperation in the field of electronic governance, which is the implementation of government activities using technology.

The agreement was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Indonesias Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Yuddy Chrisnandi and Singapores Communications and Information Minister Yacoob Ibrahim.
