Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State-Owned Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno and Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Xie Feng held a discussion on investment cooperation in the field of infrastructural development in the country.

"The projects involve the National Development and Reform Commission and state-owned enterprises, to finance infrastructural development in Indonesia," an expert staff of the minister of state-owned enterprises, Sahala Lumban Gaol, said here on Monday.

According to Gaol, Minister Soemarno and Ambassador Xie also discussed projects worth US$50 billion (Rp665 trillion) that will be funded by the China Development Bank (CDB) and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).

Seven state-owned enterprises received a loan from the CDB. These include PT Adhi Karya Tbk (US$1 billion), PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (US$5.92 billion), and PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (US$4.06 billion).

The CDB also granted a loan of US$10 billion to PT PLN.

In addition, the ICBC provided US$200 billion to seven state-owned enterprises, as well.

"If the plans can be realized, CDB, ICBC and Indonesian state-owned enterprises will sign an agreement on loans because these will involve long-term projects," Gaol explained.

He added that the type of loan will depend on the projects. Both Chinese banks will evaluate and expedite them.

Moreover, Gaol declined to disclose information on the implementation of the projects.

"Currently, the National Development and Reform Commission and Indonesian state-owned enterprises are reviewing the projects," he affirmed.
