Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia`s state-owned news agency LKBN ANTARA introduced new news portal www.antaranews.com on Monday.
The company`s president director, Ahmad Mukhlis Yusuf, said in line with retail business strategy that had been set Antara was developing retail contents in cooperation with various information technology intrastructure owners to assure business development.
The www.antaranews.com is the continuation of its earlier domain www.antara.co.id as an on-line media for the public.
Through its new portal, Ahmad Mukhlis said, Antara was now committed to serving the public with various credible and qualitative information in line with the demand of visitors to the site and advertisers.
The new portal was launched under the theme "New Look, New Feel and New Experience."
In terms of content the www.antaranews.com presents various latest information from across Indonesia and the world and is enriched with non-news contents such as Karl May serials, Ary Ginanjar (ESQ) special column, Jamil Azzaini column and the people`s representatives` voice`s column.
The relaunching ceremony was attended by the deputy chairman of the Regional Legislative Council, Irman Gusman, the secretary of the state minister for state enterprises, Said Didu, the secretary of the minister of information and communications, Ashwin Sasongko, member of the advisory board of the General Elections Commission Jumly Ashidiqie, membes of the board of directors of LKBN Antara and Antara`s business partners.
Poet Taufik Ismail read his poem before the relaunching. The event was also highligted with dance performances.(*)
