"There will be a large stage on the final title of Copa DJI Sam Soe. God Bless will entertain the public there," the competition director of the Indonesian League Competition (BLI) Joko Driyono said here on Wednesday.
The 2008-2009 Copa Indonesia final will take place in Jakabaring Sports Stadium (GOR) in Palembang, South Sumatra province on Sunday.
Besides entertainment from the famous musicians, the organizing committee will also present the colossal dance, including the fireworks show.
"But the music show will not eliminate the essence of the competition. The main event is the BLI, not a stage musical," said Joko Driyono.
Persipura Jayapura team will run for the Copa DJI Sam Soe final after playing twice with Deltras Sidoarjo with the scores namely 3-1 and 3-3.
The Persipura team is still waiting for the other finalists between the other two teams, the Sriwijaya FC and Persijap from Jepara, Central Java.
Joko expressed an happiness because the schedule of Copa Dji Sam Soe match can run smoothly in accordance with the agenda since the beginning of the event, unlike the Indonesian Super League competition which was once disrupted by the agenda of last April Legislative Election campaign.
The Copa Dji Sam Soe final was initially scheduled to be held in Jakarta Main Sports Stadium in Senayan.
The would be champion of the Copa Dji Sam Soe 2009, will get a trophy and cash prize amounting Rp2 billion. The runner-up will get Rp750 million, while the third ranking team will receive Rp350 million. The best player and the highest rank of goals maker will get Rp75 million each.(*)
