Dalam sebuah unggahan di Instagram, Scherzinger meminta tolong kepada para pengikutnya untuk memberinya informasi siapa pelaku tabrak lari.
"Keluargaku dan aku memohon informasi apapun yang bisa membantu investigasi atas kematian pria luar biasa ini," kata Scherzinger, Page Six, Jumat (1/11).

This past Saturday October the 26th at 3am, his life was taken by a hit and run in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Though I must take comfort in knowing that he is at peace with our Lord, I also know the agony our family is going through, knowing someone hit him head on and just left him there to die. My sweet cousin, I love you so much. This world was a better place with you and your kind, creative heart in it. We will never forget you and will carry you with us forever. My family and I are pleading for any information which could help support the investigation into the tragic death of this incredible man. Mantan anggota grup Pussy Cat Dolls itu lantas meminta siapapun yang melakukan tabrak lari tersebut agar mengaku.
Penyanyi 41 tahun itu menyebut kehilangan sang sepupu merupakan mimpi buruk yang dia tak sanggup bangun.
Scherzinger mengunggah selebaran yang berisi detil kecelakaan.
Boy ditabrak Hyundai Sonata keluaran 2009 hingga 2014 warna silver pada hari Sabtu sekitar jam 03.00 dini hari.
Pelantun lagu "Right There" itu juga membuat tanda pagar #JusticeforJohnBoy untuk kematian sang sepupu.
