Jakarta (ANTARA) - Album natal perdana penyanyi Amerika Serikat, Christina Aguilera, "My Kind of Christmas" yang dirilis tahun 2000, memuat lagu Natal "Angels We Have Heard on High".
Lagu itu diaransemen ulang dari kidung berbahasa Prancis abad ke-18 berjudul "Les Anges dans nos campagnes" yang kemudian diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Inggris oleh Uskup James Chadwick.
Jangkauan vokal Aguilera dalam lagu tersebut dinilai luar biasa, menurut Cosmopolitan.
Lagu tersebut bercerita tentang kelahiran Yesus yang dikisahkan dalam Injil Lukas.
Proses produksi lagu Natal "Angels We Have Heard on High" melibatkan kolaborasi Christina Aguilera dengan Eric Dawkins, seorang produser, penyanyi, dan penulis lagu asal Amerika Serikat.
