Moscow (ANTARA News) - The Russian long-range Air Force will begin staff and command exercise on Tuesday that will engage strategic and long-range bombers patrolling the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans. "During the exercise the Tu-160, Tu-95, Tu-22MZ bombers and Il-78 refuellers will carry out long-range flights both in daytime and nighttime and will refuel in the air. The crews of the aircraft will train coherency taking into account the specifics of the flights over the sea and the ocean," Air Force spokesman Alexander Drobyshevsky told Tass. President Vladimir Putin ordered the Air Force to resume patrolling remote regions of the world on August 17 after a break since 1992. Commander of the long-range Air Force Pavel Androsov will supervise the exercise that will end on Friday. (*)
